Teltonika EYE Sensor (BTSMP1) is a compact Bluetooth Low Energy sensor for monitoring assets, equipment and their surroundings. It broadcasts sensor readings for nearby compatible devices to receive.

What it monitors

Temperature and relative humidity
Movement presence and movement count
Pitch and roll orientation for tilt monitoring
Presence of a nearby magnet when used with a suitable external magnet and tested mounting arrangement

Bluetooth connectivity

The EYE Sensor communicates over Bluetooth Low Energy and supports iBeacon, Eddystone and Teltonika data protocols. It is not a GPS or cellular tracker and contains no SIM. Configure and scan it locally with Teltonika's EYE app, or use a compatible Bluetooth-capable Teltonika tracker or gateway and a suitable integration to forward readings to a remote telematics platform.

Movement, tilt and magnet applications

Accelerometer data reports movement plus pitch and roll orientation. That data can support application-specific position or tilt workflows after suitable mounting, configuration and testing. Magnet detection requires a suitable external magnet and depends on distance, alignment and installation.

It does not measure drilling depth. Any auger-position application is an installation-specific use of movement, orientation or magnet data and must be validated on the intended machine; it is not a guaranteed depth or position measurement.

Standalone accessory

No Fleetalyse subscription or SIM card is mandatory for this product. Remote or cloud reporting is separate and requires compatible receiving hardware, configuration and platform integration.

The BTSMP1 does not measure drilling depth. Its movement, pitch, roll and magnet data may support an auger-position indication only where the sensor and any external magnet are suitably mounted, configured and tested on the intended machine.

Does the Teltonika EYE Sensor need a SIM card or Fleetalyse subscription?

No. The BTSMP1 is a standalone Bluetooth Low Energy sensor, not a GPS or cellular tracker. You can scan and configure it locally with Teltonika's EYE app. Forwarding readings to a remote platform requires a compatible Bluetooth-capable Teltonika tracker or gateway and a suitable integration, but buying or using the sensor does not require a Fleetalyse subscription or SIM.

What does the EYE Sensor monitor?

It broadcasts temperature and humidity readings, movement presence and movement count, pitch and roll orientation for tilt monitoring, and the presence of a nearby magnet. Magnet-status use requires a suitable external magnet and a tested mounting arrangement.

Can it measure drilling depth or confirm an auger position?

It does not measure drilling depth. Its pitch, roll, movement and magnet data may support an application-specific auger-position indication, but only after suitable mounting, configuration and real-world testing on the intended machine. Fleetalyse does not present that as a guaranteed measurement.

What Bluetooth range and battery life should I expect?

Teltonika specifies Bluetooth range up to 80 metres in open conditions. The sealed CR2450 battery is non-replaceable; service life depends on the advertising interval, transmit power, sensor configuration, temperature and operating conditions. Teltonika quotes more than four years on its default five-second profile and more than five years at a ten-second interval.
