While a service is inactive
- The device, vehicle, fleet and customer records stay in your account; deactivating never deletes them.
- Journeys from the periods the service was active remain available through the Tracking API within your plan's history; live positions do not.
- Statements, invoices and the usage behind them stay available in the portal and the billing endpoints, also while an account is restricted or closing.
Transfers
When a device moves to another fleet or partner, its history stays with the fleet and owner it was recorded under — it never follows the device into someone else's account.
Exports
Your account owner can ask for an export of your customers, fleets, devices, services, usage intervals, statements, statement lines and invoices with a support case (category "Data export request"): Fleetalyse attaches a JSON and CSV bundle for the mode you ask for, which only the account owner can download. Location history is not part of the export. Billing lines can be downloaded as CSV from the portal at any time.
