The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. If you later want it on Fleetalyse, bring-your-own-device takes it from £5.99 a month.

Yes. The FTC305 is 4G LTE Cat 1 on bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, which include all the main UK 4G bands, with 2G GSM fallback. UK 2G switch-off is scheduled from 2029 (EE and O2) into 2030 (Vodafone); after that it carries on over LTE, so fit an IoT or M2M SIM with 4G data.

It is hard-wired with the supplied 7-pin cable: a permanent 10-97 V DC feed (Teltonika recommends the main battery), ground to the frame, the yellow ignition or sensor wire, two outputs, and CAN H and CAN L. Fit the Nano-SIM (PIN request disabled) with the power off and configure the unit over USB-C before closing the IP67 cover, because the port is out of reach afterwards; from then on use SMS or FOTA WEB. Mount it firmly with the antenna side facing up and no metal in the way. Teltonika says only qualified personnel should connect it, and the CAN side needs someone who knows the controller's CAN messages, so use a professional or competent installer.

Only if the controller talks CAN and you know its messages. The FTC305 uses Manual CAN: you set the CAN IDs and data masks for each vehicle or controller, for up to 70 CAN I/O elements, and it can send up to 10 configured CAN commands. It does not decode J1939 or FMS out of the box and it is not an OBD plug-in, so what you get depends on what the controller broadcasts.

Not on the same wire. DIN1, AIN1 and 1-Wire share the yellow wire, so it does one job per installation. If it carries a sensor, detect ignition from the accelerometer, the external voltage or Manual CAN instead. AIN1 and 1-Wire need firmware 3.7.x or later, so check the firmware version during setup and update it if needed.

Yes, through either of its two digital outputs (up to 500 mA), using secure engine cut-off (SECO) logic or the immobiliser function with iButton driver authorisation. The relay, any iButton reader and the connection into the controller are extra and should be fitted and tested by a competent installer. The iButton reader uses the shared yellow 1-Wire line, so that wire is then not free for ignition or another sensor.
