The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. Yes. The ATC700 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G GSM fallback. The fallback ends with the UK 2G switch-off scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone); LTE Cat 1 carries on. It takes a Nano-SIM.
No wiring and no fitter needed. With the tracker switched off, prise open the clipped cover (a pry tool is needed and not included) and fit a Nano-SIM, then charge it over USB-C and set the APN and server with Teltonika's TCT or by SMS. Carry it on a cord, or fix it with a zip tie, double-sided tape or a magnetic sticker; the tape and sticker are optional extras and not in the box.
Teltonika does not publish a battery-life figure. Its quick manual gives current draw instead: 74.26 mA in normal operation, 10.8 mA in Online Deep Sleep and 0.11 mA in Power Off Sleep. By our arithmetic, not Teltonika's, a tracker kept online in deep sleep would empty the 1000 mAh battery in no more than about four days; the factory setting uses Power Off Sleep between 15-minute records, which stretches that. Plan on charging it regularly, or run it from a power bank with a USB-C to USB-C cable.
It has a configurable alarm button and fits in a pocket, so it can support lone working and workforce monitoring, but it is not BS 8484 certified and Teltonika lists no man-down detection or voice calling. A button press only reaches a person if the platform or service receiving it is set up to alert someone who will act. If you need a certified lone-worker service, use a device and monitoring service built for that.
No. Teltonika has tested it to IP65 internally, which covers dust and water jets, but the rating is not certified and IP68 is still in development. Keep it out of standing water.
