The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. If you later want it on Fleetalyse, bring-your-own-device takes it from £5.99 a month.

No, the FMB125 is 2G only (GSM/GPRS, no LTE). UK networks have scheduled the 2G switch-off from 2029 (EE and O2) into 2030 (Vodafone), after which it will stop working on UK networks, so it suits only short projects. For anything staying on the fleet longer, choose the 4G FMC125, which has the same RS232 and RS485 ports.

Hard-wired to a permanent 10-30 V supply with an external 3 A fuse, ground to the chassis and ignition on DIN1, plus any RS232, RS485, 1-Wire or CAN-adapter devices; a professional installer is recommended. Both versions mount inside the cab (IP41): the internal-antenna version goes label side up with no metal above, for example under the plastic panel behind the windscreen, while on the external-antenna version the supplied 3 m GNSS antenna sits flat, sticker down, behind the dashboard near the windscreen and the tracker body can be hidden. Fit or change the Micro-SIMs only with external power and the internal battery disconnected.

For almost every UK fleet, the FMC125. It has the same RS232 and RS485 ports on 4G LTE with 2G fallback, so it keeps working after the UK 2G switch-off; the one thing it lacks is an external GNSS antenna option. The FMB125 makes sense only for short projects that will finish before 2G closes from 2029.

The GNSS antenna. FMB125BR3V01 has it inside the case, so there is nothing extra to fit, but the tracker itself needs a clear view of the sky. FMB125BJKH01 comes with a 3 m GNSS antenna on an SMA connector, so the antenna goes near the windscreen and the tracker can be hidden deeper in the dashboard. Both are 2G only.

One or two Micro-SIMs with 2G (GSM/GPRS) data service. A SIM that only works on 4G will not connect. Check with your SIM provider that 2G is available on the networks it uses, and remember that service ends with the UK 2G switch-off.
