Teltonika EYE Sensor EN12830 certified temperature recorder

This listing is for one new Teltonika EYE Sensor EN12830, order code BTSMP183CB02. It is the EN 12830-certified, laboratory-calibrated version of the EYE Sensor, in a white food-grade casing, for chilled and frozen food, pharmaceuticals and other loads where customers or auditors expect a certified temperature record. It has no GPS and no SIM: it keeps its own log and broadcasts over Bluetooth Low Energy to a Bluetooth-enabled Teltonika tracker within range.

Why choose the EYE Sensor EN12830

• EN 12830 certified. Cemafroid certificate CCT-E149-03-14-2024 (March 2024) confirms type conformity to EN 12830 as a temperature recorder for both transport and storage, with a recording period from 1 second to 1 minute.
• 0.5 °C accuracy class. The class holds across the whole -20 °C to +60 °C working range, with 0.01 °C resolution. The sensor is calibrated at -30, 5 and 70 °C in an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory, and individual calibration certificates are available.
• Its own temperature log. Up to 33,000 records, enough for up to 345 days, are stored on the sensor and downloaded with the EYE APP EN12830 or your own application.
• White food-grade casing. The casing meets EU and FDA rules for food-contact use and is sealed to IP67, so it can sit in a food load space and be wiped down. It is white, where the standard EYE Sensor is black.
• More than temperature. Like the standard EYE Sensor it also reports humidity, movement and magnet status, so a magnet on a door can show whether it is open or shut.
• Live readings through your tracker. A Bluetooth-enabled Teltonika FM tracker within range, up to 80 m in open conditions and less through a metal or insulated body, forwards the current temperature with the vehicle's position.
• Low drift. Teltonika gives long-term drift below 0.01 °C a year. EN 12830 does not make recalibration mandatory; periodic verification follows EN 13486, for example alongside the vehicle's periodic inspection.

Choose the EN12830 version when you need certified, downloadable temperature records for food or pharma transport and storage. For everyday temperature, humidity and door monitoring where live readings through the tracker are enough, the standard black EYE Sensor (BTSMP1) is the simpler choice. Its certified range ends at -20 °C, so frozen loads at -18 °C sit near the bottom of it, and the sealed battery, which cannot be replaced, runs down faster in the cold.
