The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. The FTC164 is not yet on the Fleetalyse supported-device list, so if you want it on Fleetalyse, ask us through the bring-your-own-device device check before you rely on it.

Yes, the FTC164 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback. The EU version covers LTE B1/B3/B5/B8/B20/B28 but not B7, so in the UK it uses B1, B3, B8 and B20. Its 4G link is unaffected by the UK 2G switch-off, scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone).

It is hard-wired through the supplied 0.9 m 12-pin harness: a permanent 8-32 V feed through a 3 A fuse, ground and ignition on DIN1, plus any inputs, outputs and 1-Wire probes the job needs. It ships with the battery already connected: remove the top casing, insert the nano-SIM with the power off and refit it. The sealed case can be fixed to a trailer chassis or the outside of a machine through its slotted mounting flanges. Teltonika says only qualified personnel should connect it, so use a professional fitter.

Teltonika does not publish a battery-life figure, only current draw. Running on the battery it draws under 24.36 mA in online deep sleep, under 6.81 mA in deep sleep and under 0.19 mA in power-off sleep, so how long it lasts depends on the mode and how often it reports. The battery recharges from the external supply; for assets that are never powered, choose a battery-powered asset tracker instead.

Yes. Wire up to five Dallas temperature probes to its 1-Wire bus, or pair Teltonika EYE sensors over Bluetooth 5.4 LE for temperature and humidity without cabling. An insulated reefer body shortens Bluetooth range, so test the sensor position or use wired probes. Probes and sensors are sold separately.

Its IP69K case is dust-tight and rated against high-pressure, high-temperature water and steam, so it can go on a trailer chassis or the outside of a machine, fixed through two slotted flanges. With the battery fitted, the rated working range is -20 to +60 C.
