The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. The FTC308 is not yet on the Fleetalyse supported-device list, so if you want it on Fleetalyse, ask us through the bring-your-own-device device check before you rely on it.

Yes. The FTC308 is 4G LTE Cat 1 on bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, which include all the main UK 4G bands, with 2G GSM fallback. UK 2G switch-off is scheduled from 2029 (EE and O2) into 2030 (Vodafone); after that it carries on over LTE, so fit an IoT or M2M SIM with 4G data.

It is hard-wired with the supplied 7-pin cable: a 10-97 V DC feed, ground, DIN1 for ignition (on electric vehicles Teltonika advises using it for movement detection), DIN2/1-Wire and three outputs. Fit the Nano-SIM (PIN request disabled) with the power off and configure the unit over USB-C before closing the cover, because the port is out of reach afterwards. For dead reckoning, mount it firmly with a good view of the sky, away from metal and vibrating parts, then align it: 3 minutes stationary under clear sky, then a drive at 10-100 km/h, repeated after a DR_RESET if the unit is ever remounted. Teltonika says qualified personnel only, so use a professional installer.

No. Teltonika does not support dead reckoning on two-wheeled vehicles, so on an e-bike or e-scooter the FTC308 works as a normal GNSS tracker with its alerts and immobiliser outputs. Dead reckoning suits four-wheeled machines such as forklifts, shuttle carts and utility vehicles.

In Teltonika's field tests, driving 1 km with no GNSS and 15-20 turns ended within 25 m of the true position in at least 8 of 10 runs; over longer distances the error can grow. After DR standby the route is rebuilt for up to 5 minutes or 1000 m within 50 m, again in at least 8 of 10 tests. Alignment is lost after power loss or sleep unless DR standby or alignment auto-save is used, and accuracy drops with drifting, very long outages and large temperature changes.

No. It has no CAN interface. It reads ignition, switches and sensors through its two inputs and 1-Wire, and drives relays from three outputs. Choose the FTC305 if you need data from the vehicle or its controller over CAN.
