The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. The FTC965 is not yet on the Fleetalyse supported-device list, so if you want it on Fleetalyse, ask us through the bring-your-own-device device check before you rely on it.

Yes. The FTC965 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback, on LTE bands B1/B3/B5/B7/B8/B20/B28, which include all the main UK bands. The 4G link is unaffected by the UK 2G switch-off, which the networks have scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone).

It is hard-wired with the supplied 0.7 m five-wire cable: a permanent 10-90 V feed through a 3 A fuse, ground, ignition, one analogue input and one output. It ships partly closed with the backup battery connected: open the side cover, insert the nano-SIM with the power off, configure it, then clip the case fully shut, after which plastic pry tools are needed to open it. The sealed case can sit on machinery or other exposed spots as well as behind a dashboard; no bracket comes in the package, so have a professional fitter plan the fixing as well as the wiring.

Yes, with firmware 3.0.7 or later, which added EYE sensor and beacon support for this tracker family. Teltonika's production firmware has been 3.7.x since May 2026, but the first datasheet still lists Bluetooth as a future feature, so check the version in the Telematics Configuration Tool when the tracker arrives and update it over FOTA WEB if needed.

Teltonika has not published consumption figures yet; the datasheet lists them as TBA. It has online, deep and power-off sleep modes to limit drain, but if a machine or bike stands unused for long periods, keep an eye on its battery until you know how the tracker behaves on it.

No. Teltonika lists an accelerometer but no gyroscope, so its position comes from GNSS only. If you need tracking to continue through tunnels and car parks, the FTC927 has dead reckoning for in-cab fitting.
