A transport office can lose hours each week to work that produces no better operational control: chasing driver card files, updating mileage spreadsheets, filing defect reports and pulling together evidence before it is needed. Measure the time returned to the operation

To prove the value of reducing paperwork, measure more than the number of forms removed. Track time spent on manual downloads, report preparation, driver status calls and maintenance-date chasing. Implementation does not need to be disruptive. Start with the workflow causing the most repeat work, establish a clear owner and make sure drivers, planners and compliance staff understand the new routine. Once the process is working, extend it across the rest of the fleet.
