Key features

Why choose the FMC125

RS232 and RS485 on board

2serial ports

Digital fuel-level probes, RFID card readers, Garmin FMI navigation and LCD displays connect straight to the tracker, so their readings arrive with a time and position attached. RS232 handles all of these; RS485 takes fuel probes.

Peripherals are bought separately, must be a supported type and are set to the right port mode in Teltonika Configurator.

FMC125

Two SIMs for work that crosses borders

2Micro-SIM slots

A vehicle that works in the UK and abroad can carry a SIM for each, which keeps roaming charges down. On LTE Cat 1, it keeps working on UK networks after 2G closes.

Engine data through an adapter

Fuel and other CAN bus data come from a Teltonika LV-CAN200, ALL-CAN300 or CAN-CONTROL adapter wired to the tracker's adapter input. On cars and vans, a Bluetooth OBDII dongle is the alternative.

There is no CAN interface on the tracker itself and no tachograph download. Adapters are bought separately and fitted by an installer.

Driver ID and load temperature

Drivers can identify themselves with an iButton key or an RFID card, so journeys on shared vehicles are tied to a person. Wired 1-Wire probes or Bluetooth LE sensors record temperature for refrigerated work.

Readers, keys, cards and sensors are bought separately. The IP41 case belongs inside the cab.

Product details

Unlocked Teltonika FMC125 GPS tracker with no SIM card

This listing is for a new unlocked Teltonika FMC125 (order code FMC125TLU801), a professional 4G tracker for fleets that connect fuel probes, card readers or navigation units to it. It is sold as hardware only, with no SIM card supplied and no Fleetalyse platform lock.

Why choose the FMC125

  • RS232 and RS485 serial ports. RS232 works with digital fuel-level sensors, RFID readers (HID and MF7), Garmin FMI navigation and LCD displays; RS485 with digital fuel-level sensors. Both also support NMEA and TCP data modes.
  • Fuel level from a probe. A digital fuel-level probe on RS232 or RS485 gives a direct tank reading, so refuels and unexplained drops show up in the data. Analogue level sensors work on the analogue input. Probes are bought separately and fitted by an installer.
  • Dual SIM. Two Micro-SIM slots let you add a second SIM, for example from another country, to cut roaming costs on international work.
  • 4G with 2G fallback. LTE Cat 1 on bands B1, B3, B7, B8, B20 and B28, covering the main UK LTE bands, with GSM fallback. It is the 4G replacement for the 2G-only FMB125.
  • Driver ID and temperature. 1-Wire takes an iButton reader or temperature probes, RS232 takes an RFID reader, and Bluetooth LE pairs with wireless temperature and humidity sensors.
  • CAN data through an adapter. There is no direct CAN bus: vehicle data comes through an optional Teltonika LV-CAN200, ALL-CAN300 or CAN-CONTROL adapter, or a Bluetooth OBDII dongle. There is no tachograph download.
  • Driving and tamper alerts. Green Driving, over-speeding, excessive idling, crash, towing, unplug and jamming detection, with geofences and an output that can drive an immobiliser relay (relay and fitting extra).
  • Compact in-cab unit. 65 x 56.6 x 20.6 mm with internal GNSS and cellular antennas, under 2.5 m CEP accuracy and a 170 mAh backup battery. The IP41 case is for mounting inside the cab.

What you get

Unlocked Teltonika FMC125 GPS Tracker - No SIM Card: questions buyers ask

How much is the unlocked FMC125?

£65.99 inc VAT (£54.99 ex VAT) with free UK delivery. That is the hardware only: no SIM, no subscription and no lock to any platform.

What does "unlocked" mean here?

The tracker ships with Teltonika factory firmware and default settings, not configured for Fleetalyse. You fit your own IoT or M2M SIM, set the server and APN with Teltonika's configuration tool, and point it at whichever telematics platform you use. If you later want it on Fleetalyse, bring-your-own-device takes it from £5.99 a month.

Which SIM card do I need?

Any IoT/M2M SIM with an APN you can set. If you would rather not shop around, add the Fleetalyse IoT SIM on this page: it comes as a 3-in-1 card with roaming in up to 135 countries.

Is the FMC125 4G?

Yes. The FMC125 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G (GSM) fallback, covering the main UK LTE bands (B1, B3, B7, B8 and B20), so it keeps working on LTE after the UK 2G switch-off scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone). It is the 4G replacement for the 2G-only FMB125.

How is it installed?

Hard-wired through the supplied 0.9 m I/O cable to a permanent 10-30 V supply with an external 3 A fuse, ground to the chassis and ignition on DIN1, plus any RS232, RS485, 1-Wire or CAN-adapter devices you use; Teltonika recommends taking power straight from the battery terminals. Mount it inside the cab, label side up, because the case is IP41 and both antennas are internal. Fit or change the Micro-SIMs only with external power and the internal battery disconnected. A professional installer is recommended, especially for fuel sensors and serial peripherals.

What can I connect to the FMC125 RS232 and RS485 ports?

RS232 supports digital fuel-level sensors (LLS), RFID readers (HID and MF7), Garmin FMI navigation, LCD displays and NMEA or TCP data modes. RS485 supports digital fuel-level sensors and NMEA or TCP data modes. The peripheral must be a compatible type, set to the right port mode in Teltonika Configurator, and is bought separately.

Why does the FMC125 have two SIM slots?

It takes two Micro-SIMs, so you can run SIMs from two providers or two countries and cut roaming costs on vehicles that work abroad. No SIM is supplied with the unlocked tracker.

Does the FMC125 read the CAN bus or download the tachograph?

It has no CAN interface of its own. Vehicle data comes through an optional Teltonika LV-CAN200, ALL-CAN300 or CAN-CONTROL adapter on its CAN-adapter input, or a Bluetooth OBDII dongle. It does not download tachograph files.

Is there a discount for buying more than one?

Yes, automatically at the basket: 3% off 3+, 5% off 5+, 10% off 10+ units. The discount applies to the hardware in the same order, and it stacks with a referral or promotional code.

How quickly will it arrive?

UK delivery is free and goes by Royal Mail 24. Orders placed before 2pm Monday to Friday are normally dispatched the next working day, and Royal Mail 24 usually arrives the working day after that, so most UK orders land within two working days. Royal Mail aims at next-day delivery rather than guaranteeing it. Full details are on our delivery page.

What warranty does it carry, and what if it is not right for us?

Every unit is new, boxed Teltonika stock with the manufacturer's 24-month warranty. Consumers have 14 days to return an unused device under our returns policy, and business customers can talk to us before ordering if they want to check fit on one vehicle first.
