IP67dust-tight, immersion
Made to be fixed to the machine itself, on a tractor, dumper or chassis, rather than tucked behind a dashboard. Teltonika says GNSS reception is best when it is mounted outside with the label facing open sky.
IP67 holds only with both case clips fully closed and the cable connected. It covers immersion, not pressure washing.
2impulse inputs
DIN1 and DIN2 count pulses from a fuel flow meter, so a machine that burns a lot of fuel reports measured consumption rather than an estimate. CAN fuel data is possible too, through a Teltonika adapter.
Flow meters, level sensors and CAN adapters (LV-CAN200, ALL-CAN300 or CAN-CONTROL) are bought separately and fitted by an installer.
3outputs at 0.5 A
Digital inputs can watch an equipment switch or a panic button, 1-Wire takes a temperature probe or an iButton reader for driver ID, and the three outputs can switch an immobiliser relay, an LED or a buzzer.
DIN2 and DIN3 share pins with the analogue inputs, so not every input is free at once. Relays, probes, readers and their fitting are extra.
170 mAhbackup battery
Towing, unplug and jamming alerts flag a machine being moved or interfered with, and crash detection reports an impact. Green Driving, speeding and idling reports show how it is being used.
The battery only reports a power cut: the FMC230 runs from the machine's own supply.

Yes. The FMC230 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G (GSM) fallback, covering the main UK LTE bands (B1, B3, B7, B8 and B20), so it keeps working on LTE after the UK 2G switch-off scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone). Fit a Micro-SIM with 4G data.
Hard-wired through the supplied I/O cable to a permanent 10-30 V supply with an external 3 A fuse, ground to the vehicle frame and ignition on DIN1. Teltonika recommends taking power straight from the battery terminals and says the unit must be connected by qualified personnel, so use a professional installer. With the power disconnected, fit the Micro-SIM (PIN request off) and connect the internal battery, then press both covers fully home: IP67 holds only with the clips closed and the cable connected. Mount it label side up with at least three-quarters of the view above free of metal; because it is sealed it can go outside the cab, where Teltonika says GNSS reception is best.
Yes, with the right sensor. DIN1 and DIN2 work as impulse inputs for a fuel flow meter, and the analogue inputs take an analogue fuel-level sensor. CAN fuel data needs an optional Teltonika LV-CAN200, ALL-CAN300 or CAN-CONTROL adapter, or a Bluetooth OBDII dongle. DIN1 is also the usual ignition input, so agree the wiring with your installer; meters, sensors and adapters are bought separately.
Not all of them. DIN2 shares its pin with analogue input AIN1 (and the negative input), and DIN3 shares its pin with AIN2, so each of those pins works either as a digital or as an analogue input. Plan the wiring with your installer before fitting.
No. Its 170 mAh backup battery is there to report a power cut, not to run the tracker. For a trailer that loses power when it is unhitched, the FMC234 is also IP67 and has a 1000 mAh battery; for assets with no power at all, choose a battery-powered asset tracker.
