Dust-tight and sealed against high-pressure water and steam, so it can sit on the battery of a tipper, a van or a machine that gets cleaned hard.
With the backup battery fitted, Teltonika rates operation at 0 °C to +40 °C, narrower than the bare electronics.
2wires to fit it
Tape on the back holds it to the top of the battery; red goes to positive and black to negative or the chassis. Ignition comes from battery voltage and movement, so there is no ignition wire to find.
Teltonika specifies connection by qualified personnel. Power and ground only: no inputs, outputs or immobiliser.

It can track up to 41 satellites at once across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, which helps it place stops correctly at drops and on site.

4GLTE Cat 1, EU version
This is the EU LTE Cat 1 build, so it runs on UK 4G with 2G only as a fallback. It has no Bluetooth radio, so EYE Sensors and EYE Beacons cannot be paired with it.

It is the straightforward sibling of the FTC887, without Bluetooth or dead reckoning. It is sold as hardware only, with no SIM card supplied and no Fleetalyse platform lock.
Choose this unlocked no-SIM version when you want to configure the APN, SIM provider and tracking platform yourself. The FTC880 is also supported on the Fleetalyse tracking platform, so you can move it to Fleetalyse later with bring-your-own-device.

Yes. This is the EU version of the FTC880: 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback, and its LTE bands cover the main UK networks, so it keeps working after the UK 2G switch-off, which the networks have scheduled from 2029.
With external power disconnected, open the side cover, fit a Nano-SIM and clip the cover fully shut; once closed it needs plastic pry tools to reopen. Stick the unit on top of the vehicle battery with the tape on its back, GNSS antenna and LEDs facing up, then connect the red wire to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal or the chassis. There is no other wiring. Teltonika's safety instructions say only qualified personnel should connect it, so use a fitter or someone competent with vehicle battery work.
Both are IP69K, 4G LTE Cat 1 trackers that mount on the vehicle battery with two wires. The FTC880 has no Bluetooth, so it cannot pair EYE Sensors or EYE Beacons, and it has no dead reckoning. Choose the FTC887 if you need either; the FTC880 covers tracking, driving events and crash alerts.
No. It has power and ground connections only, with no digital outputs, so it cannot drive an immobiliser relay. Ignition is detected from battery voltage and the accelerometer instead of an ignition wire.
It reports trips and an odometer worked out from its own GNSS data; with only power and ground connections it cannot read the vehicle's odometer. Teltonika's FTC880 wiki also documents a Private/Business mode that can follow a weekly schedule, with GNSS masking and odometer stop. It is not in the datasheet, so check it on your firmware and tracking platform before relying on it.
