Yes. The FTC887 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G fallback, so it keeps working through and beyond the UK 2G switch-off, which the networks have scheduled from 2029.
It sticks onto the vehicle battery with the double-sided tape already on its back, and the two wires go straight onto the positive and negative battery terminals. There is no ignition wire: it detects ignition from the battery voltage and movement. The IP69K casing withstands high-pressure washing and steam, so an engine bay or plant machinery is no problem.
