2200 mAhLi-SOCl2 battery pack
A 7.2 V lithium thionyl chloride pack with very low self-discharge runs the tracker on its own, so it goes on assets that are never connected to power: unhitched trailers, containers, skips and plant attachments.
Not rechargeable, and Teltonika publishes no battery-life figure. Replace the pack when its voltage reaches Teltonika's thresholds.
8 hdefault reporting interval
Out of the box it records a position every 8 hours, moving or parked, and its accelerometer detects movement. It is a check-in tracker rather than a live one, which is what lets a battery last.
Shorter intervals give a fuller picture and use the battery faster.
IP68dust-tight, immersion
At 78 x 63 x 28 mm in an IP68 case, it can sit on a trailer chassis, inside a container or on plant through a British winter.
Teltonika's sources give different operating temperature ranges; plan on the cautious one, -20 to +60 °C.

Tucked in a glovebox, a centre console or behind a light, it runs on its own battery, so there are no wires to trace and cutting the vehicle's power does not silence it. Backup tracking and a recovery mode are built in.
On the default 8-hour interval it checks in rarely. Set the interval and recovery mode to suit how quickly you need to know, at some cost to battery life.
Bluetooth LE reads Teltonika EYE Sensors and universal BLE sensors, and the tracker can flag a paired sensor that has gone missing.
Sensors are bought separately. On an 8-hour interval, readings arrive at each check-in rather than live.

Yes. The TAT140 is 4G LTE Cat 1 with 2G GSM fallback, so it keeps working after the UK 2G switch-off scheduled from 2029 (EE, O2) into 2030 (Vodafone); only the fallback is lost. It takes a Micro-SIM.
No wiring and no fitter needed. Remove the cover, fit a Micro-SIM with the PIN request disabled, turn the internal switch on and set the APN and server with Teltonika Configurator on a Windows x64 PC over Micro-USB (cable not included), then refit the cover. Fix it the right way up with straps, screws or Teltonika's magnetic holder (sold separately), or hide it in a vehicle: Teltonika's placement guide covers the glovebox, centre console, under the car and behind a light.
Teltonika does not publish a battery-life figure, so we do not quote one. It depends on how often you set it to report: the factory setting is one record every 8 hours, and shorter intervals use the battery faster. Teltonika gives voltage thresholds for planning a replacement: 6.6 V at +22 °C, 6.5 V at +3 °C and 6.3 V at -22 °C.
No. It uses a non-rechargeable lithium thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) pack that is replaced when it runs down. After long storage these cells can read low for a while; Teltonika says the voltage recovers within about 24 hours once the tracker has sent a record.
No. Order code TAT1403UBP01 is the tracker alone. You need a Micro-USB data cable and a Windows x64 PC to configure it, and Teltonika's TAT1yx magnetic holder is a separate accessory that is not supplied with this listing. If you want a magnetic mount with tamper alerts in the box, choose the TAT240.
